Rain, rain, rain. I know I will miss it in the  crispy Texas summer, but being damp all the time gets a little bit old. Still, this place is beautiful. Rain or no rain.

Scotland's only unique soft drink. Pronounced Iron Brew. Tastes like bubble gum. Not bad!

Highlander Castle

I am too lazy to spell the real name just now but this was the castle used in the movie Highlander. It is beautiful like everything else here. Good thing I have a wee border collie and friends and family I miss to come home to, otherwise I might just disappear into the Highland mist forever.

About 15 years after my first visit, I am back. I think it is the most beautiful city to which I have ever been.

It was a windy, rainy day but we had a lovely time and I felt this window of a pub summed it up nicely. That last word is pronounced "crack" and means "to have fun." We did have some craic today!

Alarm Clock

Azalea, like most cats, wants what she wants when she wants it...your timeline is of no consequence to her. The alarm was not set this morning, but that didn't bother the Princess. She pounced on us when she felt we should pay attention to her needs. And there is no ignoring a needy cat, y'all.

Fluff

I have read all of the books in this series, but any time I need a little fluff, I return to them. Most of my collection is currently dispersed for the summer amongst my colleagues, also in need of an escape. Good stuff.

100 Years

Today the Ft. Worth Police Department celebrates 100 years of its badge. I got to pin Brian's new badge on him this morning at a ceremony on Main Street. Pretty awesome.
